RACONTEURS My expectations for this release were...well...totally impractical. Put two of the best singer songwriters together, and you should get a product as good as both of their past achievements combined, right? That'd be impossible. Broken Boy Soldiers is not as good as any the White Stripes have ever done, and I enjoyed Benson's last more than this. That said, it's still a good record, with some great moments like "Broken Boy Soldiers" which comes across as Zeppelin-esque. standout tracks: "Broken Boy Soldiers" and "Blue Veins" |
