STROKES Is This it was a perfect album that brought The Strokes to the forefront of rock 'n' roll. Room on Fire got started right were Is This it left off, but the band was criticized for putting out such a similar record. This time The Strokes expand and take chances, most of which work very well, but the album still fails to receive critical praise. For me, First Impressions starts off as the best Strokes record but trails off a bit at the end. This album also displays some of the best rock guitar playing on record since the 70s. standout track: "Razorblade" and "One the Other Side" |
