The Walkmen
Pussy Cats

Pussy Cats was originally recorded in 1974 by Harry Nilsson. This was Nilsson's big opportunity to create a record with close friend, John Lennon. The record remains a cult success despite Nilsson rupturing his vocal chords part-way into recording.

Now in 2006, The Walkmen have decided to release a note for note remake of Pussy Cats, to introduce the songs to a whole new set of listeners, and mainly because they just want to. The result is every bit as special as Nilsson's version. And while the Walkmen add very little of their personal style into the record, there is still a Walkmen-sound to their version of Pussy Cats. Not every track is intoxicating, but the ballads need to be heard.

standout tracks: "Many Rivers to Cross" and "Save the Last Dance"
