The Kingdom
K1

It'll take less than 30 seconds for some listeners to be completely repelled by The Kingdom's sound. More specifically, it's singer Charles Westmoreland's unique voice that'll be so unwelcoming for some. Westmoreland's voice changes througout the course of the record, with comparisons ranging from John Popper to Cedric Bixler. Musically, The Kingdom's debut resembles the perfect indie pop sound of Canada's Stars. But, with a voice like Westmoreland's, there's no confusing the two bands. K1 is the perfect example of a love it or hate it album, and I love it, expecting huge things from them in the future.

standout tracks: "Die All Over Me " and "The Pilot"
