While many NYC bands have blown up—Interpol, The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs—The French Kicks have seemingly stayed under the radar. Their first two albums were good, with a couple great songs and showed a solid progression from the first to second. Two Thousand again sees the band growing and getting better and this time the result is a brilliant blast of rock and roll guitar noodling and strumming.
