NOFX
Wolves in Wolves' Clothing
First, I must start off by saying that NOFX was
my favorite band when I was in middle school and high school. I
still listen to White Trash, Two Heebs, and a Bean and
Punk In Drublic, and still love them. NOFX is one of the
greatest punk bands ever, influencing an entire generation of young
punks.
That said, Wolves in Wolves' Clothing is a dissapointment
to some degree. Expectations had been lowered by the mediocre or
shall I say "Medio Core" War on Errorism. Wolves
in Wolves' clothing is nothing new musically for NOFX. It's
the same formula they've used on their last few since Pump Up
The Valuum. The songs just don't hold up next to "Bob,"
"Don't Call Me White" and "Linoleum." But that
doesn't mean it's not worth listening to. The album has its fair
share of good songs, all with political lyrics to shout along with.
standout tracks: "Marxist Brothers" and
"One Celled Creature" |
